One Million Moms are an embarrassment to motherhood.

I don’t just mean because of the apparent lack of basic math skills. (The group’s recently-deleted Facebook page sported fewer than 50,000 “likes.”)

One Million Moms is a front for bullying — something most mothers fight to protect their children from.

Of course, as a subsidiary of the American Family Association, acting as an anti-gay hate group is par for the One Million Moms’ course. (AFA is classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.)

One Million Moms’ most recent targets are familiar ones: JC Penney for a Father’s Day ad with two gay dads and DC Comics for allowing Green Lantern to come out of the closet in an alternate universe. It comes on the heels of a rant against Marvel Comics which is allowing Northstar to marry.

One Million Moms ranted:

“Children desire to be just like superheroes. Children mimic superhero actions and even dress up in costumes to resemble these characters as much as possible. Can you imagine little boys saying, ‘I want a boyfriend or husband like X-Men?’

…These companies are heavily influencing our youth by using children’s superheroes to desensitize and brainwash them in thinking that a gay lifestyle choice is normal and desirable.”

Perish the thought that children grow up with the idea that anything they imagine could truly be a possibility.

One Million Moms urge bullying companies through boycotts, email campaigns and tirades against management at local retailers.

What’s worse is these moms are passing those skills along. The bullies are all grown up and teaching a new generation hate in the name of parenting.

It’s disgraceful and it’s embarrassing.
