Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Was Ron Palillo outed in his obituary?
Arnold Horshack, the character on the hit 1970s show “Welcome Back, Kotter,” always struck me as gay. (Mostly from his adoration for musicals.) But I never knew that the actor himself was gay.
The New York Times reports he was survived by his longtime partner.
Last year Mr. Palillo, who moved to Florida in 2010 to be near his aging mother, became a drama teacher at the G-Star School of the Arts, a charter high school in West Palm Beach. His survivors include his partner of 41 years, Joseph Gramm, as well as two brothers and a sister. His mother died last year.
